Expresso Martini was excellent, Hot Crab Dip very good. Didn't care much for the BBQ shrimp- 4 of them for 17- very disappointed in that dish, but everything else was great! Service was exceptional. Chargrilled oysters were good, Royal Reds very good!

We had an incredible dinner at Jourdan River Steamer. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming, and the food kept getting better with every course. We started with a pound of the royal red shrimp and a bowl of seafood gumbo. The shrimp were huge, seasoned perfectly, and came with melted butter on the side. The seafood gumbo was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and a nice scoop of rice on top. A great start. For our main course, we ordered the filet cooked medium rare, and it came out just right — tender and full of flavor. It was served with mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and a giant piece of roasted bone marrow that really took things to the next level. We also tried the tuna dip which was smoky, creamy, and served with crispy crackers and toppings that added a nice pop of flavor. We finished with dessert and could not resist ordering both the bread pudding and the chocolate cake. The bread pudding was warm and comforting with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel. The chocolate cake was rich and fudgy with just the right amount of sweetness. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and the service made it even better. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a while and we will definitely be coming back. If you are anywhere near Kiln, Mississippi, this place is a must.

Wonderful menu and food choices. Dylan, our server was amazing with recommendations and showing us how to get the most out of our King Crab meal. Highly recommend. Loved it.

What an amazing place! As someone who is allergic to shellfish, I rarely go to “seafood places” as I am often disappointed with the whole experience. This eatery however was spectacular! I was thrilled with the fun and attentive staff, the “good vibes” atmosphere and I was surprised by how good my vegetarian meal was. The rest of the party enjoyed the steak and seafood, and there were plenty of buttery fingers, “wow this is amazing”, and “look at the size of this food!” for me to believe the other menus options were incredible as well! Everyone left even happier than when we arrived, which is a great statement for a restaurant. We will surely be coming back!

It's worth the drive down from Jones County, with the great food & service, not to mention the view of the river.

I went to the Steamer for the first time in my life yesterday! I always see the billboard for it in Slidell, & have heard people talk about it. I never understood why people made such a big deal about it until yesterday... I was absolutely FLOORED. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. I loved the decorations as soon as I walked in. Then sitting by the window, watching people on jet skis & boats in the Jourdan River was so cool. Very beautiful area. I’m not a drinker, so I didn’t get a cocktail. Although I looked at the drink menu, & they sounded good! I ended up getting the Little Steamer platter. I added the caviar to the oysters. My jaw nearly fell off when I got the platter. Absolutely beautiful presentation & very nice fresh seafood. Hands down the BEST oysters I have ever had in my life!!! Wow. I also want to say that the service there was impeccable. The wait staff really takes good care of you. We had Daphne serve us, & she was such a nice lady & took absolutely excellent care of us. Made sure we had everything we needed. She even put a bib on me & removed it. Which I was shocked, I’ve never had that happen before. This place was hands down the BEST dining experience I have ever had. 100000/10. I truly loved it so much, & enjoyed every second of it. I cannot praise y’all enough! From the hostesses, to Daphne, the chefs, & everyone else, y’all are all truly great. Thank you for the amazing evening. I will never forget it.

My husband Rob and I celebrated our 45th anniversary at JRS in early February this year.The entire experience was nothing short of amazing!I would give them 10 stars on everything if I could.If they know you are celebrating ,they celebrate with you and offer sweet little surprises.The staff member serving us was Daniel.He is phenomenal at his job!You will be fortunate to be served by him.He kinda resembles Elvis a little bit.Anyway, prepare to enjoy an unforgettable ,wonderful, delicious evening celebrating whatever your special occasion is at our favorite new restaurant.

I’ve been to Jordan River Steamer several times now - not for the seafood, but for the steaks, and I’m telling you, they’re absolutely worth it. Every single visit, I’ve ordered a steak and it’s consistently juicy, tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can even add bone marrow on top, which melts like butter and takes the richness to another level. This review is especially for those who aren’t big on seafood - the steaks alone are worth the trip. I’ve brought a fellow foodie friend with me and he was just as impressed. The desserts are also top-tier and something I always come back for. Service is quick and attentive - the staff checks in regularly and makes sure you’re taken care of.
